Higher Futures Higher Futures is a newly formed skills development programme aimed at ensuring that the workforce in Swindon and Wiltshire is able to gain higher level skills and qualifications (NVQ level 4, HND/Degree and above). It offers access to high quality tailored training, endorsed by businesses, for skills that are in short supply.
With a wealth of experience, Navy veteran Amanda Peach of Higher Futures leads on working with tri-service personnel, their dependents, reservists and veterans to identify their skills gaps and the opportunities available to them. Many do not hold higher level qualifications recognised by civilian employers and this is where Amanda helps, offering access to university level education that is local and flexible – meeting employers’ needs and fitting in with employees’ lives.
