EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Serving or former RN/RM personnel of all ranks are eligible to use the Employment Services. These are complementary to those provided by the MOD resettlement organisations which should be used, if eligible, in conjunction with our services.
Civilian Employment Prospects
An interview with a member of staff (Employment Director or Regional Officer). This discussion will consider all related aspects of individual civilian employment prospects and the preparation process required, including CV appraisal. This can either take place in HMS BELFAST or at most naval bases, air stations and shore establishments. To arrange an interview in HMS BELFAST please contact the Office Manager. To see a Regional Officer please contact your Resettlement Office.
Resettlement Lectures
These are given on a regular basis at NELSON, DRAKE, ABBEYWOOD, HERON, NEPTUNE and CALEDONIA and are designed to complement the services offered by the CTP. The 45 minute presentations cover all aspects of resettlement including employment and financial issues and may include professional specialist advice from a guest speaker on a variety of resettlement related subjects . Networking Contacts and Voluntary Advisers
These may be arranged through the Employment Director. They are a comprehensive range of employment contacts and voluntary advisers who are willing to give employment related advice and, in some cases, may be aware of suitable employment possibilities.
BT Civilian Mentoring Scheme
This unique scheme covers all aspects of your preparation for civilian employment. They can be arranged for suitable personnel at all levels who can then additionally benefit from the expert guidance of highly experienced volunteer senior civilian executives and managers.
Individual Marketing
The employment details of all individuals registered with us are sent, on a frequent basis to, an increasingly large number and range of corporations, businesses and other interested organisations all of whom are often in need of the skills and experience you may have to offer. We will market you!
