 SECTION 3 GUIDANCE NOTES

Section 3

The aim of this section is to provide potential employers with concise, relevant information concerning your Background, Skills and Experience. Using this, along with your other details, an employer will have sufficient information to judge whether you have employment potential in which case you may be contacted and your CV may be requested.

Background / Skills / Experience

You need to decide which elements of your Background, Skills and Experience you wish to present in this brief format. Relevance to your chosen job path (s) is paramount. Use your CV to help you if you have one. Consider your main selling points in terms of what you have done, the experience this has given you and the transferable skills you now have. Your more recent career is obviously the most important area to focus on but if there are other relevant elements from your earlier working life, military or civilian, you may wish to include these as well.
