McCloud Update: 2015 Remedy Consultation

Retrospective Remedy Divorce and Rejoiners enclosures have now been published

The Armed Forces Retrospective Consultation was published on 6 March 2023, however the Divorce and Rejoiners enclosures were delayed due to detailed policy work and legal checks that were required in these two specific areas. The supplementary enclosures have now been published and complete the consultation on how the Armed Forces Pensions Schemes (AFPS) intend to implement the cross-government remedy mandated by the Public Service Pensions and Judicial Offices Act 2022.

The consultation will close on 29 May 2023 and views are encouraged from Serving Personnel and Veterans. You can submit your response via https://forms.office.com/e/AH6qTfjmcM or email People-AFPension-McCloud@mod.gov.uk. If you have already responded, you only need to answer the last two questions on the form, relating to the divorce and rejoiners enclosures.

The MOD have developed FAQs to aid members with understanding the retrospective elements of the 2015 Pension Remedy. These can be found at Armed forces pensions - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk), under the 2015 Remedy update.
