Legacy income provides a vital string of income in ensuring the continuation of our Charitable work. Legacy gifting is one way individuals can make a positive and lasting contribution to the wellbeing of Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel and families in the future. We very much welcome and value support of the Association’s work in this way and would be most grateful if those wishing to leave a Legacy to the Association would use the wording below when drawing up their Wills.

Our Glossary explains some commonly used terms and phrases. Every gift in every Will, whether large or small, makes a real difference to the Association’s work and we are most sincerely grateful to all who choose to support us in this way.

When leaving a gift to the Charity in your Will, please remember to include our full name and registered Charity number (206787).

For a pecuniary legacy (a specific sum), the following wording should be used:

“I give to The White Ensign Association Limited (registered Charity number 206787), the sum of ..............”

For a residuary legacy (leaving the residue of your Estate, i.e. what remains after debts and liabilities have been met and all pecuniary and specific gifts have been paid, wholly or partly to the Charity), the following wording should be used:

“I give all the residue of my Estate to The White Ensign Association Limited (registered Charity number 206787).”

The White Ensign Association Limited would be grateful if you could let us know if you have included the Charity in your Will.
